- Visit historic structures in nearby Kristiansand. The city's Gothic Revival cathedral features a striking altarpiece by famed nineteenth-century artist Eilif Pettersen. Christianholm Fortress was constructed as part of the city's defense in 1672 and now hosts cultural events.
