• Experience a moving operatic play at Dramaten, (The Royal Dramatic Theatre). Founded in 1788, the Dramaten hosts around 1,000 shows every year on each one of its eight exciting stages. The building itself is incredibly historic, having been designed by architect Fredrik Lilljekvist in 1908. It displays some of the best Art Nouveau architecture in Stockholm.
• Tour the artwork on display at the Moderna Museet. This stunning museum features one of the largest collections of contemporary artwork form the 20th century, including works by such renowned artists like Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, and Henri Matisse.
• View the wonderful exhibits at the renowned Fotografiska. The Fotografiska is a museum wholly committed to showcasing the best in contemporary photography, with four large exhibits present every year. Topics range from such areas like landscapes to portraits.
• Attend a thrilling theatrical show at Kungliga Operan (The Royal Opera). Located within a historic building dating back to the 19th century, the Kungliga Operan itself has been entertaining patrons since the reign of King Gustav III. The opera today is one of Stockholm’s most premier attractions, serving as Sweden’s official stage for opera and ballet performances.
• Stroll through the lush vegetation of the Kungliga Djurgården, otherwise known as “The Royal National City Park.” This verdant public park is home to a number of outstanding cultural attractions, including the Rosendals Trädgård. The Rosendals Trädgård features many gorgeous varieties of plant life scattered among a rose garden, orchard, vineyard, and several flower beds.
