The building itself is incredibly historic, having been designed by architect Fredrik Lilljekvist in 1908. It displays some of the best Art Nouveau architecture in Stockholm.

Located within a historic building dating back to the 19th century, the Kungliga Operan itself has been entertaining patrons since the reign of King Gustav III. The opera today is one of Stockholm’s most premier attractions, serving as Sweden’s official stage for opera and ballet performances.

• Stroll through the lush vegetation of the Kungliga Djurgården, otherwise known as “The Royal National City Park.” This verdant public park is home to a number of outstanding cultural attractions, including the Rosendals Trädgård. The Rosendals Trädgård features many gorgeous varieties of plant life scattered among a rose garden, orchard, vineyard, and several flower beds.
