The exclusive, outdoor Serenity Garden is an adult oasis where guests can stimulate reflex points on the soles of their feet with the River Reflexology Walk, soak in historic hot springs, relax in the naturally pressurized deluge shower, and unwind in the Finnish sauna. A spring-fed pool and whirlpool are available year-round.

Fitness Center
The fitness center offers a cardio and weight room, along with three movement therapy rooms for yoga, cycling, and dance classes. Certified personal trainers are on hand for a private workout covering cardiovascular exercise, strength training, and stretching. The fitness room is open from 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. daily.

Pools
For those who love the water, there are three options for year-round fun. Allegheny Springs is the two-acre water park, fed with water from the natural springs, and features Mountain Rush with its two 100-foot water slides, and a 400-foot lazy river. In the winter, Allegheny Springs turns into a winter wonderland with ice skating surrounded by holiday lights and music. The magnificent indoor pool, built in 1904, is fed by the naturally warm mineral spring waters and is open year-round. The adult-only, outdoor, spring-fed spa pool located in the Serenity Garden is open year-round.

Warm Spring Pools
Enjoy the best hot springs in Virginia, straight from the source, at The Omni Homestead Resort. Two major springs from the Allegheny Mountains flow through the property and allow visitors to soak in the natural mineral waters of the Jefferson Pools. The springs are naturally heated and do not require any chemical treatments.

Local legends say that Native Americans journeying through the valley discovered these magnificent crystal springs hundreds of years ago, and archaeological evidence seems to confirm that this area has been used by humans for at least 9,000 years. The first recorded survey of the area was done by Thomas and Andrew Lewis. Thomas Lewis and his son obtained 140 acres of the land, including the warm springs. Andrew Lewis was an early partner of Thomas Bullett, who procured 300 acres including the hot springs and built the first hotel in 1766 on the site of The Omni Homestead Resort.

The Gentlemen’s Pool House, the large, octagonal, white wooden building, along with the pool inside it, was built in 1761. The oldest spa structure in the U.S., it was intended for use by both ladies and gentlemen, although at separate, alternating times. The pool is similar in size and shape to the nearby mineral springs – about 120 feet in circumference with approximately 43,000 gallons of constantly flowing spring water. In 1836, the circular Ladies’ Pool House was constructed to give the ladies their own pool.

The legendary Jefferson Pools are the cream of the crop of Virginia hot springs and have drawn visitors from across the country for centuries. The pools are named for Thomas Jefferson, who sojourned here in 1818 to spend three weeks relaxing within this Virginia mountain spa. Soaking in the Gentlemen's Pool House three times a day, Jefferson proclaimed the spring waters to be "of the first merit."

The Jefferson Pools consist of two main buildings, ladies and gentlemen to have their own oasis to heal and relax. Guests under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present during family time and are not permitted during the adult soaking time.
