• Explore the Place de la Bastille mere moments away from the hotel. This public square is the site of where the infamous Bastille Prison stood at the onset of the French Revolution. A brilliant monument called the July Column now stands at the center of the Place de la Bastille, although it commemorates the July Revolution of 1830.
• Travel to the Panthéon nearby. Originally constructed as a replacement for the Church of Sainte-Geneviève, this neoclassical structure is now a mausoleum that contains the remains of prominent French citizens like Victor Hugo, Marie Curie, and Alexandre Dumas. The Panthéon resembles the famous Pantheon of Rome.
• Visit the Sainte-Chapelle just moments away. Constructed during the 13th century, this amazing historic cathedral was once the official royal chapel for the ancient Kings of France. The Sainte-Chapelle resides on the Île de la Cité, which is part of the city’s renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site.
