Experience the historic Telemark Canal just beyond the hotel’s front door. Composed of 18 locks, this outstanding historic site has been in operation for well over a century. Two historic boats—the M/S Henirk Ibsen and the M/S Victoria—even offer excursions down the Telemark Canal.

Go fishing or sailing at Bandak Lake. Known for its tranquil beaches, visitors are certain to enjoy its picturesque setting. The Dalen Hotel even offers the use of two small rowboats upon which to tour the lake.

Hike up the Gaustatoppen. Located a couple hours to the north outside of the Møsvatn Austfjell, the Gaustatoppen provides for sweeping panoramic views of the region.
