In the second part of the interview with Diogo Laranjo, general manager of Hotéis Heritage Lisboa, we talked about the increase in tourism in Lisbon and the “pains” associated with it, the need to decentralize tourist centers, tourist taxes, the importance of investing in new equipment and the impact of major events.
Tourism in Lisbon has changed, evolved and has captivated more and more tourists. In your opinion, does Lisbon, as a city, and in other aspects collateral to tourism, make tourists suffer a little?
Aspect number one, the airport. This is an issue that has been going on for many years and is something that concerns us a lot, I would even say that it is our main concern. There are other problems that arise due to the growth of a city that has many tourists, such as cleaning, which is something that entities have to look at, and which also concerns us.
