Hacienda Labor de Rivera dates back to the mid-16th century, within the old town of Tepechitlán (known today as Teuchitlán). It functioned as an agricultural estate that grew many crops, such as corn, wheat, and beans. Over time, its activities increased to include raising livestock, as well as agave and sugarcane cultivation. The estate even produced its own metalworking, and sold both tequila and mescal. The location also contained “San Nicholas” and featured the “San Isidro” estate. Together, they held 33 stables spread over 61,314 square meters. The hacienda operates today as a luxurious spa hotel in the Mexican state of Jalisco, surrounded by dozens of tequila distilleries. It is only several miles away from many noteworthy cultural attractions, like the Botafogo Stadium, Teuchitlán Square, and the Teauchitlán Arches.
