• Walk from Zion Lodge to nearby Bryce-Zion Trail Rides for a horseback tour from March through October within Zion National Park itself. Choose a one-hour trip along the Virgin River or a three-hour ride around the Sandbench Trail. Or, Zion Canyon Trail Rides at Jacob's Ranch outside the park offers various rides tailored to all visitors' abilities and comfort levels.

• Hike through the magnificent gorge called The Narrows, 16 miles long, up to 2,000 feet deep, and in some sections, as little as 20-30 feet wide. Walk between its soaring walls, and view hanging gardens while splashing through the Virgin River.

• Ride the free Zion Shuttle along Zion Canyon Scenic Drive to stops at nine locations. Another free shuttle makes stops throughout the nearby town of Springdale.
