From New York and New Jersey via New Jersey Turnpike: Take the New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 2 (Route 322 West) to the Commodore Barry Bridge to I-95 South. Cross over the state line into Delaware. Take Exit 7B for Delaware Avenue and Route 52 North. At the light, turn right on Route 52 (Pennsylvania Avenue) stay in the left lanes at the fork and continue 2.2 miles. Turn right on Route 100 North and continue for 1.5 miles through two traffic lights. Continue past the first sign for the Inn at Montchanin Village. The entrance is on the right hand side at the next traffic light. Guest registration is on the left in the Dilwyne Barn.

From Philadelphia International Airport via I-95: Take I-95 South. Cross over the state line into Delaware. Take Exit 7B for Delaware Avenue and Route 52 North. At the light turn right on Route 52 (Pennsylvania Avenue) stay in the left lanes at the fork and continue 2.2 miles. Turn right on Route 100 North and continue for 1.5 miles through two traffic lights. Continue past the first sign for the Inn at Montchanin Village. From Southern Pennsylvania, Kennett Square and Longwood Gardens via US Route 1: Take US Route 1 North to Route 52 South. Continue for approximately six miles. After passing Winterthur Museum turn left at the second light onto Kirk Road (Route 82). Go though the next light and guest registration is on the left in the Dilwyne Barn.

From Newark, Delaware (20 miles) and Baltimore (90 miles) via I-95: Take I-95 North to Exit 7 for Delaware Avenue and Route 52 North. At the fourth light turn left on Route 52 (Pennsylvania Avenue) stay in the left lanes at the fork and continue 2.2 miles. Turn right on Route 100 North and continue for 1.5 miles through two traffic lights. Continue past the first sign for the Inn at Montchanin Village. The entrance is on the right hand side at the next traffic light. Guest registration is on the left in the Dilwyne Barn.

From Downtown Wilmington, Delaware (3 miles): From Market Street take 12th Street out of town. 12th Street becomes Pennsylvania Avenue (Route 52). After crossing over I-95 stay in the left lanes at the fork and continue 2.2 miles. Turn right on Route 100 North and continue for 1.5 miles through 2 traffic lights. Continue past the first sign for the Inn at Montchanin Village. The entrance is on the right hand side at the next traffic light. Guest registration is on the left in the Dilwyne Barn.

From Wilmington, Delaware Train Station (6 miles): Take Walnut Street for eight blocks and turn left on 12th Street. 12th Street becomes Pennsylvania Avenue (Route 52). After crossing over I-95 stay in the left lanes at the fork and continue 2.2 miles. Turn right on Route 100 North and continue for 1.5 miles through two traffic lights.
