The Hilton Milwaukee, originally the Schroeder Hotel, is an Art Deco masterpiece built by architects Holabird and Roche in 1928. The hotel was founded by Milwaukee native, Walter Schroeder, who appointed the building with rich furnishings fitting for the “Roaring Twenties.” For nearly 100 years, the hotel’s striking ballrooms and timeless restaurants have served not only as a historic and elegant spot for travelers from across the globe, but also as a gathering spot for thousands of visitors at the connecting Baird Convention Center and a welcoming hub with a distinctive, local Milwaukeean flair.
