Historic Hotels Worldwide® Culinary Traditions
Omelette Surprise, Omelette Norvégienne, Baked Alaska
What's in a name? Whatever you are used to hearing this dessert called, the Hotel Waldhaus Sils (1908) served their Omlette Surprise when their doors first opened in 1908, and you can find it there still today!
Consisting of a sponge cake, ice cream, and meringue, the Omelette Surprise is an exhilarating experience for any fan of the culinary arts.
We all need a little rest and relaxation. From an ionic retreat in Killarney, to a five-star water experience in Wisconsin, these historic hotels provide a space to ponder the new year's resolutions and rejuvenate after the holidays (or any time throughout the year)!
