170 E Main St Wytheville, Virginia 24382
The original property opened in 1927. A member of Historic Hotels of America since 2025.
Founded in 1927 as an architecturally striking waystation in the busy mining and transportation hub of Wytheville, Virginia, the Bolling Wilson Hotel quickly became a social center for the town. The hotel named for First Lady Edith Bolling Wilson, wife of President Wilson, is themed around Edith’s life of “canaries, orchids, and bourbon!” The hotel hosted Mrs. Wilson on her last visit to Wytheville in 1960 to dedicate stained glass windows at St. John’s Episcopal Church.
Today's guests can relax in comfortable rooms and savor the warmth of the hotel's famous Southern hospitality. Guests can host elegant events while indulging in delicious home cooking. In addition to these experiences, visitors can explore Wytheville's beautifully preserved buildings and immerse themselves in the vibrant live performance scene while taking in the breathtaking beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
